What is moais.io

The Japanese concept of moai(s) translates into „meeting for a common purpose“ and can be described as social support groups that also provide a safe and comfortable space to exchange ideas and knowledge among friends and peers.

We are on a mission to provide the (technical) framework and support for building such digital spaces to value driven organisations who want to encourage and facilitate meaningful conversations and the exchange of relevant information.

It is moais.io's driving spirit to help each other. In this spirit, we have centralized the member-support for questions and requests that are not unique to the nature of the individual spaces. This way, every organisation can focus on their impact, while we take care of the housekeeping.

Code Of Conduct

As a member of any community under the moais_io umbrella you committ to follow this code of conduct. Breaking this code might result in getting excluded from your community. That sounds harsh. But we are dedicated to provide a safe and comfortable place for the communities we serve. So, we take this very serious.

    We are kind and respectful

    Showing our best manners when communicating and never ever offend anybody.

    We don't spam or push

    Beeing aware, that this is not an advertisement platform.

    We care and share

    Keeping in mind, the translation of the word moai: meeting for a common purpose

    We stay on topic

    We stay focused on the topic in hand or break out in a new conversation. Everything has its place and time.

    We consider it okay to not know

    There are no stupid questions. And we can't have the answer to every question. "Sorry, I don't know" is a thousand times better than wrapping a wild guess in the coat of (false) advise.

    We are honest and fair

    Always telling the truth and communicate to the best of our knowledge and in the community's and its members best interest.

    We insist on equality and inclusion

    Old, young, white, dark, male, female - and everything between and beyond ... under the umbrella of moas_io every member has equal rights and value. We do not tolerate any kind of discrimination.

    We aim for personal and professional growth

    Supporting each other to learn from the community and experience new perspectives.
